Wendy Rogers is a strong voice for Arizona values and is a proven champion on job creation, fiscal responsibility, and good government.
“I’m running for Congress because liberals in Congress, for all the time they spend talking about jobs and the economy, have done more to cost America jobs and turn our economy upside down. As the only candidate running in the 9th District who has personally created private sector jobs, who meets a payroll each month, who knows firsthand how government continues to be a roadblock to job growth and opportunity, I’m running for Congress because we can’t afford even two more years of the tax and spend foolishness of career politicians like Kyrsten Sinema.” —Wendy Rogers
A 5th-generation officer in the military, Lt Col Wendy Rogers (ret.) spent her career serving America as one of the first 100 women pilots in the U.S. Air Force, rising up through the ranks and continuing a family tradition of service that dates back more than 100 years.
“I made a promise to my father that I would help restore America’s greatness—that I would help return values and integrity to our government. Running against a career politician, it’s easy to see how the special interests have come to dominate our political culture. My hope is that together, we can return this government of the people, by the people and for the people back to the people from whom it has been hijacked. As a wife, mother, retired Air Force lieutenant colonel, and small business owner, I’m ready to join the small, but growing, ranks of voice in Congress with real-world experience—entrepreneurs and innovators who are bringing new ideas and new ways of doing business to a government that has taxed-and-spent our children’s and grandchildren’s future, and must be reformed.” —Wendy Rogers
Today, Wendy Rogers is a proud mother, devoted wife, and successful businesswoman. With her husband, Hal, she operates one of Arizona’s top-rated property inspection companies, having provided well over 100 jobs over the past 16 years.
“Today, our business is a fulltime-jobs creator in the 9th District. This is something we take great pride in, considering we began as many family businesses, working out of our living room. That’s the sort of experience I’ll take to Congress that the career politicians who have lived their entire lives off the American taxpayers simply can’t understand. Kyrsten Sinema and the rest of them have spent their lives spending other people’s money without any understanding of how hard most Americans have to work just to pay their taxes. Now they’ve run up a national debt of more than $16 trillion dollars with no sign of slowing down, and I think most Americans join me when I say we’ve had enough” – Wendy Rogers
Wendy Rogers grew up the daughter and granddaughter of military officers, and moved frequently. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Michigan State and her first of two Master’s degrees from the University of Alabama.
“Education was, is, and shall always be an important part of my life. Having ASU in the 9th District is such an honor, but such an important responsibility as well. I’ve spent hours listening to students at ASU and other Arizona schools as they prepare to face the challenges after graduation, and there are some very real concerns they have voiced, and that I will take with me to Congress. Number one, of course, is jobs. So long as our federal government continues to block the private reinvestment that will spur real job growth in America, unemployment rates for new graduates, and all young Americans, will remain tragically, and unnecessarily, high. The same fate awaits members of our Armed Forces returning home from overseas duty. Kyrsten Sinema and Pres. Obama might talk a good game, but our college graduates and America’s heroic veterans deserve real opportunities, not false promises.” —Wendy Rogers
Wendy Rogers and her husband, Hal Kunnen, have been married for 35 years. They enjoy travel, gardening, and spending quality time with their two children, George and Emily—and most recently, becoming grandparents to George’s growing number of children! Wendy and Hal worship weekly and are members of the Phoenix Christian Reformed Church.
“The two most important reasons I’m running for Congress are simple: for your family and mine. Thank you for visiting my website. I hope you’ll check back, and join my email list to receive updates. I appreciate you taking a moment to learn more about me, but it’s even more important that I get to learn more about you, so please come join me at an event in the district, or stop by our campaign office. The more I hear from you, the better I can represent you in Congress!” —Wendy Rogers
